Felis concolor
East Walker River, 5 mi. S Wichman, Mineral Co., Nev.
Dec. 28, 1939.
Mr. W. E. Lewis, Mr.
Wichman & others living
near Wichman, Nev. said
that a few mountain lion
have been tracks seen in
the snow down in the
past few years. Although
none have been killed recently
the opinion is that a few
lion inhabit Mt. Grant
and in winters of heavy
snowfall these animals
are driven down to
lower elevations, and
it is at this time of year
that the tracks of these
animals are sometimes
seen in the snow.
