Alcorn 1939 Tapidea tapus Penpole line road, 2 mi. N of Hagen, Churchill Co., Nevada. Dec. 27, 1939. As indicated by D in diagram we (V. Mills & I) could see where the badger had entered the hole & not came out so we set three traps. Dec. 28, 1939 Vernon Mills looked at this trap in my absence & reports badger came out of hole & sprung one trap & after walking around for about 300 yds. returned after digging several shallow holes & entered original hole. Dec. 29, 1939. I looked at these traps in absence of V. Mills & Badger did not come out of hole. Snow a few inches thick covers ground at this point. Dec. 31, 1939. V. Mills reports badger came out of hole since last visit. I was unable to accompany him today. her observations
