Hope he does not decide to stay in until spring as I would rather have one a little closer to home for that. It has been taking turns raining and snowing so it is still too confoundedly wet to set traps" January 14, 1940. Letter from J. Mils dated today quote " Today I picked up your Dad + Mother + Earl + Phyllis went up to see about the badger. He has not come out yet. Next time I go I think I will take a can of ether and put it down the hole then get after him with a pick + shovel.
