84. Apr 27 Sergeant I had a good time up Sycamore today. Spent all day & collected, R.R. Oak Goldf. Oak, Thrasher, Least Oriole etc. also spotted new-nested Can. Wren and 2 nests Shw. Hawk, 2 eggs each with green seta co-modifying 385+294a. Came back via little Sycamore. May 2 To the brook: found nests that were too new & nests that were too old but could not strike a happy medium. Set 394a 4/5 & 529 1/4 3 Geo. & I spent the afternoon in dye. Went to nest of Can. Wren, slipped up quietly, put my hand over the hole and brought it down over the nest, to catch the bird. My hand struck air, then fuzz. Guess Wilbur took them before. Didn't strike much ~ 4 Spent an afternoon about Sugar Loaf #1. Oak Can. got
