Song continued for some time. Ident. sure. Oct. 5 Saw one near Dr. Shugart's -1882- barn. In his yard. Jan.30 See few now & then. com. Oct. 15 One in our orange tree, perhaps more. Nov. 5 Many seen on hillside, first since Oct. 15. Bells' Sparrow, Amphispiza belli. 574 1891. 5/5 Shot one from a sage-bush. Size: Length, 6, Ext. 5.75, eg. 2.60, T. 3, Bill, .35. 5/23 Found fresh nest near Dycamre, roeggs 1894 Sep. 16 Shot / from flock of 8 or 10 in the hillside (Circu +164) Dec. 25 - 1 Shot. By Spr.
