Holmes, R. 1962 Journal 4 Aug Barrow, Alaska Worked in the lab all morning before going to the insect plot to take pond samples, during the afternoon. Small groups of (juvenile) immature Pectorals + 2 Dunlin were noted - only the birds noted were Habitat molting + young Longspurs. Weather overcast with occasional showers, light north wind (0-8 mph). Samples processed during the evening. 5 Aug Barrow, Alaska Samples processed during the morning + early afternoon - then went to the Bead Ridge + Elsm Lagoon at Brant Point. Small number of immature marni near Bead Lake - Central marsh - wet polyfor near Brant point + shore - st airport lagoon. Only occasional Pectorals (all dull) noted - no Dunlin seen. Weather overcast with scattered rain showers throughout the day. - Wind light (0-5 mph for N-NW). 6 Aug Barrow, Alaska In the morning - I drove south - by Frier Lake - Bevel Ridge - Galin Ridge + northward in area below 100 feet of the gasoline. There is mostly low-cute polyfor - or wet polyfor habitat + numerous Dunlin + Pectorals & few Western Saps were found.
