12 July Barrow, Alaska
Went to Skravik in the morning & walked the plots.
There was no bird activity & most of the nests
were empty - no sign of the adults or young.
Several groups of long-t. geese were present -
2 snowy Dols were on the plots.
In the afternoon - I made feeding observations
between the U.P.A. Area & Qualet Ridge - 8-10
Dinner, 3-4 Richard 50; 2 semi-colonial Saps-
were in Imana. Weather today was overcast
with light E.-S. wind.
13 July Barrow, Alaska
Morning spent finishing up visited
Samples & specimens. In the afternoon
Mullen & I took Dr. and Mrs. Tracy
J. Storer to the Beak Ridge &
Central Marsh. Weather was overcast &
a cold Easterly breeze was blowing
(5-8 mph). In the evening - Nets
& specimens were worked on.
14 July Barrow, Alaska
Morning, warm calm & moist with
many midges & a few mosquitoes in
numbers. In afternoon a cold 5-10
mph NW breeze was blowing. In the
morning I went to Elsen Lope
& Woblesbely Slope - return
