Holmes P. 1962 Journal 5 July Barrow, Alaska Census plot - mnt 7 No Small pods SAE The polyps caught are dry. The large are still not but are greatly reduced in size The bird activity is falling off rapidly. No pectorals were heard displaying today & Dulin displaying is decreasing. 6 July Barrow, Alaska Part M morning spent in the laboratory working on specimens - The 2ivalled out in the Puduum area. Weather clear - with 5 mph w. wind Blowing Bird activity generally poor - no display overhead. In the afternoon - went to Bear Ridge & control mast to Else Lupa - overcast with 10-15 mph - w. wind. Did hut work all evening. 7 July Went to Bear Ridge - E of Magnetic Station & marshy area & north to hole feeding trials - recorded several Dulin's Pectorals - . Collided - Dustin with land. Weather overcast - but calm - no wind - mosquitoes & other insect abundant! In the afternoon (time ?) took insect sample & seawater in The Desert Ridge locale. Weather clear - with 3-10 mph westerly wind - snow elsewhere - bird life present - except for small numbers of long-tail Daisans & a few Pasuititi farrers.
