Holmes,R.T. 1964 Joumneel 25 June BarrowS, Alaska Maclean & I went to Harrarik Lake 0830 - 1730. - Thru Footprint (13 knots, flew 1 50-60 PS, sev. Phalaropes (1 Norman). 20 Centus plot where sev. Baff-brooks, RB, OPS - were noted but activity never low. Several more BB were seen to N.South along the same ridge - At south end Lake - 7+ ps / Slopes free nesting - sev. varying Brent - Scattered Arctic Terns. Snow Owls + Panna fayers see frequently. - Weather around - snow flurries all day long. Prolonged froze last night (over 40 large men) + Remained froze until late morning hours. Lemmy sign - was generally good - must it was De winters - little bird activity. 26 June -1000-1230 - No BR - 1500-1800. Gualin F No.Reed Ridge, Bird activity lower than prev week - Weather Current, wind 6-5 mph- N.W. In evening to Pkthel's plot - Several BB still displaying - Weather foggy, by 5 mnt - little no wits - Readied BB. 27 June 0500-0715 - No BR - Somewhere. Weather clear; no wind. 0930-1200 - No BR - Gualin Ridge 1500-1730 N.S.B.R., Weather remained clear - but left possible threat during next Day. Bird activity low.
