R.T. Holmes 1964 Journal 17 june Barrow, Alaska 0900-1230. - No. beach ridge - fog - variable thickness. - light NW wind (5-10mph) - tried some tape recorder - but was too far away. Buff-breast corner - 2 new WR. nests. 1430-1800 - No. 8R - little activity. weather same - light wind. - evening in lab. 18 june 0830-1200. : 1400-1800. - No. Beach Rgy. mostly east of Minnet. (White-rump sector) - WR active that area - but not very 4 bands - Buff-breast noted. Weather - overcast, loogy, misty - some sun. - light (5-10) wind. 2030-2330 - Gasoline Ridge - weather, parts clear-windy. 19 june 0830-1200 - No. 7BR. + Drum Area. 1330-1730.- Volk Area - Sweet Ridges & Gasoline Ridge. Weather overcast - 5-15 mph 'breeze'. White-rump activity declining - group 1 pectorals present. Evening in lab. 20 june 0930-1200 N.B.R. - mostly west 1 gasoline + to south. - pectoral & some buff-breast activity. Weather - overcast - 10-15 mph - N-NE wind -cold. Afternoon - dropped at No. 8R / Pitkaz, Plot - walked to Minnet - with bird activity - weather same No. Beach Ridge in morning evening - Buff-breast activity increasing. 21 june Morning in lab. Alpha with FAP on beach ridge Gasoline Ridge - checking Buffbreast - / nest
