Holmes, R. 1962 Journal 14 June Barrow, Alaska 0530-1730. Sullivans & I went to joshin's ridg - ducked traps - in slope? (snow) plot - but last slough was not crossable. Tracked so o around dry lake - to shrub. We returned plot & returned via gaswell. Weather clear & sunny - light 5-10mph NW wind. Snow meter lost - and left now in trough & other protected areas. Melt water collected in all basins & boughs - some sloughs are not open yet - tried difficult. In the evening, P. Felle & Q went to Bent Ridge & worked over - 5-1 mcdale salt lagoon. N. wind, sunny, clear. There has been very little bird activity during the past 4 days I for weather - display at least only occasionally & birds seen quite scattered. 15 June Barrow, Alaska morning spent in the lab writing notes + preparing specimens. In the afternoon, I went to Dr. B. Ridy, heading for Elson Coop - when & sank a vessel, & by the time I worked back to camp, saw another. The afternoon was well shot - except for a trip west along the level ridge. Weather all morning was clear & sunny. Gey
