Bird activity was very poor & birds were hard to locate, especially pectrals. Weather overcast - very light SW wind. 21 Aug Barrow, Alaska Stayed in lab all day. Working a talk for science conference + finishing specimens Weather was partly clear - but - strong east wind was blowing during most of the day. 22 Aug Barrow, Alaska Weather overcast all morning with wind from port at 20-30 mph. In afternoon it started to rain & kept it up until early evening - also with strong east wind. By 2200 - the wind was shifting to the south & The sky was partly clear. Worked in lab in a.m. & went to field in afternoon & then the last plots in late evening, In afternoon - went to Bear Ridge
