Holmes,R 1963 67. Journal 14 Aug Barrows, Alaska In the evening, I talked with Dr. S.C. Kendzigh from Univ. Illinois & on the student Bill Brooks (2). He came here to study snow buntings & redpolls for studies in energy budget (The above Mentored Student is a local - Maggolo, he has just completed a MA on shorebird migration in Choyl Illinois). He also has students working on energetics molt (in Passe-Amerique) & of incubating (zebra finches). 15 Aug Barrows, Alaska Morning - lab working a sample. Afternoon - Kendzigh, Groom. went to Neareer South 1 Wolfish Glowy - via Bear ridge route back by meadow lakes. To Cook. St. - 170 shorebirds for-exe 9 Pm Fuel Lake - 1 PT. & upland county South / Deslour - 3 IPS, 1 RB Ad, 6 RB Ad, 7 RB Her, 1 RB, 3 IPS, 19 PS, 1 nm-thn Gochuck, 1 ADOPD 4 flying chicks, 5W Pm Janson & (Paniciti Jaeps, 2 S.O. 2-20.
