Holmes,R 1963 Journal 4 Aug. Barrow, Alaska Morning spent in lab catching up on field notes & other lab work. In afternoon, a full set I meet sample was taken. I traveling to from Uwhem - 18 PS + 2 nm flying chicks, 1 GPS, 1 Tuu. RP, 1 2 Ad RB, Sew PI were noted - Sorn 1 there were walled. Longspurs were flurking - several groups / 15-30 were seen. Weather overcast, fog morning in + out - 5-comp wind for NE-generally evening- with some snow flurries. Evening- lot up in a bush & meet sample. Weather - last 4 days has been generally foggy r rainy. 5 Aug Barrow, Alaska In morning, I drove south via meadow lake - gasolin way - east to fertility plot + north to Wohlslably Flats - returning across Omtal marsh. No shorebirds were seen until the first plot area - 1 Tm. 3 Ad RB, 1 Ad + 2 I.RB, 3 RB Ad, 1 IPS, 1 T + 14 PS, 14 PS + 3 I RP, Sew Ad. GP. In So.C.m - 14 PS + 1 T, 19PS 4 Ad. RB + So. of B.R. - 1 RB, + 3 I RP + 1 PS - Sorn 1 these were collected - see catalog. In afternoon - to Vorn area at point north - At gravel ponds in Bri.Ham's Area - 12 Ad + 2 I RB - 2 IPS 3 Ad & 4 I RT, 1 ISP, HIWS. ! 9r. 12 Ad RB + 1d /
