We departed Maker's camp at 1500, flew north to Cape McClure - saw following 1 musk-ox (pich) Flock 14 ptarmigan 2 Arctic fox 2 Ptarmigan 1 group/7 musk-ox (pich) 1 Arctic hare (Lepus arcticus) 1 Snowy owl 3 Sandhill Cranes Coast from Cape McClure to Castel Bay Bluemom gulls in air on a cliff -no other cliff birds Castel Bay - Thomsen River to join Muskox River 1 swan - Olor columbianus - not prev. recorded this for north in Darn! Glaucous Gull Sabine Gull Sandhill Crane - 4 Snow Geese - 20 -did not see large killing ground when we've separated. We at this junction North to Mercy Bay - Tyr Falcon Bluffs - along cost to east, nearly to Parker Point - only Glaucous Gulls seen.
