Holmes 1963 journee 28 July Barrow, Alaska A few pectros & a few groups of mellow were seen on the plate 1 on As Jug down + food. Very little activity - some weak very fool - Moderate! Heavy rains & 10-15 mph wind for the week. Afternoon evening lot work was done. The rain kept on through early evening - but subsided at 2300. The wind blew all night & it dropped below freezing early next morning. 29 July Barrow, Alaska Weather - Snow covering ground in early morning but mostly gone by 0730. Cold NW wind & snowflurries all morning - Clearing in afternoon. Wind was N-W all day - Some light rain in the evening. I went to Don't ave & took full land samples - returned to lot at 1102 - Samples were processed thru 1438 & Don & Steve & B.R. - Brent Og. - & both Cautel Ware. Very few samples were seen in early mornings & afternoon Javel. - 19+15-75, 4 AARB, 2 AARB+1 In BS. It appears that many of the birds - at least three weeks - have departed
