Holmes, R. 1963 Journal 26 June Barrow, Alaska Weather in morning was sunny - north light wind from the northeast. After dropping pitch at his census plot, I hunted along Elson logan & Denmark shun | Wobbley - with relatively little success? Found flake / petrns also In logan + seven local red 3XB seen - more heard in display. Afternoon - went to insect plot where sod sample #5 was found. Then I hunted through the area south fork & south | middle salt (giza (? Volks). Again, flake / petrns were the most obvious. Iris ; are pan / alpinis - 1 rest / pinella near both ana. Weather became overcast & windy. By evening, I'm for most had settled. Mainly weather credits held infood. Evening spent in processing specimens working on abstract for Seaweed paper. 27 June Barrow, Alaska Pressed sod samples in morning + then went to beach ridge & collected 2 PS & 3BS. Afternoon evening in lab working - sod samples, specimens, probs. Weather Cold, wintry, misty & generally nasty.
