Holmes,A 1963 Journal 15 June Barrow, Alaska Plectars were 'super-abundant' on the census plot - drowsy yet. Redbore were scarce. Bird activity (mainly DST + RPTII) was good. The tundra is dry at present & most of my snow is now gone. - L. strummi & dunnum - fog records 16 June Barrow, Alaska In a.m.- Went to census plot via river & shallow ridge. - Become fairly loggy, no snow flowing out from peran. Tool and samples I did only at Valuum. Snow - snow machine broke down. Returned via same route, collecting 3 RB, + 3 OBB on the way. In afternoon, I pursued Plectar birds + event & noted bird info - where sw. baird + loggy were obtained. Weather today was sunny with a 5 mph westerly breeze. 17 June Barrow, Alaska Left for Shroavile at 0845 - arrived at 0930. Weather foggy, windy in early am - but by 10:00 - it was clear & warm - I measured the plot - during the day. My plectars were still dominant & there was little redbore activity. The bird
