Golden Plavers, Raven, Tree Sparrow (1 heard),
Shag-bared Owl (disgulazin, 50' in air - fun
Soft Tooth - 5-8 ft success), Bar-tailed
Godwit (1 flying on ridge - later creek), Golden Eagle.
(1 bird of unknown Plamph)
Weak cleer, calm & warm -
beautiful day
14 June Ogotoruk Creek, Cape Thompson, Alaska -> Barrow
Went back up the ridge for c
Cough 1 hour - saw at least one knot.
Plane returned about 1200 - so we left
the bluff country & returned to camp.
Left Cape Thompson at 1400 - flew to
Pt. Hope - where we spent about
45 minutes - saw 2 Western Sandpiper, 1
Semi-poll. Sandpiper. Weak cleer
- fog hanging off coast.
Left Pt. Hope at 1500 - flew over
Gull Lake - About 30 pairs island -
Quail s. Hum a eggs. - pickup taken fr
belt #4 - Arrived at Barrow at
1900. - evening spent in cleaning up
& sleeping.
15 June Barrow, Alaska
Left for Throat at 6:00. Spent all
day census plot - returned to
camp at 1700. Weather mottled,
Very light Easter breeze.
