Holmes,R. 1963 Journal 28 may Barring Alaska Where snow-free tundra was present - Little bird life except 4 PS, 2 RT & few l.c. TSB.- Then in to Inuit Glob - when at 5 1 Pm. Queen now sun. Snow is still covering The stakes at Paces B,D,E. Depth 1c to Shrimp fD on snow hole at A is 5.5. Wet and Village Gloryl- again Pom jaysn se- occuraneously. Returned via Cahset- Which they are now dismantling & also The Vth Club & family logm both - scripts 1S, Owl. - otherwise no activity. The party at Tundra was devoid of sherbubs except a PS & RT sin early An afternoon. Snow Condition over not as far advanced as one might think - just British, que & bluff at Vth Club went on extensive open funda. In the evening - drive via beach ridge (where no birds - except Longspur - were seen) to wohl + Cockpit Sloughs. Sluffs here were becoming exposed- SEW PJ, 4-6 displaym & PS, 3 charm RB includes 1 amel displayr, 2 bairdi, 2 RT, V Snas Quee, 18 Spectacled Eider. 1 Snow and in display flight + in ground "chrau"dijely were noted. 1 PS & on beach ridge near ATCS. Weather today clear & warm, getting cool in last evening - pards tenturts keep.
