Holmes R 1962 Journal 4 June Barrow, Alaska Drove with Yapp to VoR Area + then across to Elsa Lajom - returning via The beach ridge. Weather was partly clear - with broken fog lifting & the settling again. Light Cauterly wind. 2 Sanderlings near Britta's Area - Semipal, Semi-pal & Turnstone. Longspurs, Dunloup - 1 Snow Owl just SOV VoR Area. 1 Pectoral, See. Dunlin + R. Turnstone on Elsa Bluff. In the afternoon - returned to Britta-VoR Area - saw 3 Sanderling (Depr. of 1 Othe - well marked bird). Semi-pal & Dunlin - 1 Pectoral in Britta's Area. It seems now that Dunlins are moving out to areas That are just becoming exposed. They can see I hear now i most places - In Britta's Area to VoR Area - or The slope S. & E Plot in the next plot - 2 De open fender near Elsa Lajom. Pectorals, not seen to be getting established with 2-3 Semipal mouls near Elsa + 1 in Britta's Area. Semipal are distributed along pockets, Salt layer & VoR Creek - but not anywhere else. Bands - is still not present in any numbers. No sign I precisely yet. P.G. Plumes are here in small numbers - but
