Holmes,R. 1962 Pond Sample #1 15 July Barrow, Alaska P.G. Temp = 11.2°C pSr at 8". 40x2' grass + litter edge - muddles, masses of debris. little insect life. Antsphile sticking through. P.H Temp = 10.8°C pSr = 10". 40x40' - no vegetation in the center - block mud bottom. edge is smacked dead grass with scaldous growing [illegible]? P.I Temp = 11.2°C pSr at 12" - creek to 1/8" - edge - grass - wet mud-lily bottom. P.k - 12.2°C. pSr at 14" - 60' long + 20-30' wide - edge just been muddied by fall [illegible] - vegetation - verb P.M - 11.8°C - pSr at 12" - ½ moist:½ water POND SAMPLE #10 19 July Weather has been warm and clear for last Three days - but < decreasing number of adult insects have been noted. To do [illegible] an arrow root but the sun was out by 1/00 + The wind stopped soon thereafter. Sample taken during the last half of the afternoon. Clear, summer fwan - 0-5 SAMPLE - no bugs
