1930-2130. Drove to Uoth Area - to check again
on E. rubicollis - could not locate it again.
Trid to record red-bird displays but
recorder gave out!! See. RB, S.R., B.S., L.L.
soon. Headed east to gaslin ridge & De
Bevel ridge - the top 1/2 of these are starting
to open up & considerable ground is exposed.
but no birds seen except an occasional
Lovespur. The Birds are only in the grassy-edge

Spend morning preparing specimens + checking
supply out of the stalls room. In the afternoon -
no weasel was available - so I worked
in the lab & had a talk with Drew.
Drove to De Bevel ridge off supply
lot weasel broke down & I walked
in. Two glaucous Gulls seen in the
Air now. Weather stayed below freezing
all day - with cold 50-55 wind
blowing + a low cloud layer. Snow fell
at intervals during the day.
1 june BARROW, ALASKA
0800-1200 Drove to bluff along Elsa Lagoon. In-
just 1/4 Whistling Shryl to Dookpile
Slough. Weather overcast with 15mph East wind.
