Holmes,R. 1962 Journal 51 21 Aug Barrow, Alaska Several Hocks of Adult + sec. Immature alpina were located as well as scattered melanthes + Phaivitis. Weather: Overcast - cold - 5-12 mph - N. wind. The Temperature are now dropping at night and staying low through the next morning. Specimens were procested in the evening 22 Aug Barrow, Alaska Specimens were processed + Some packing was started during the morning, while - the afternoon - I took pond samples, which were in turn procressed during the evening. Weather: cold - with Snow flurries, at various times during The day + slight Ths, The sun ever came through several times. 23 Aug Barrow, Alaska Pond Sample picked all morning - while at a same time, I was waiting for The flight to Quel Lab - Which has been - an offering for arr 6 weeks now. Finally - in the afternoon - I went to Brit Ha + VHS Are Wk Marsh - Fortpoint Lake (no bees!) & Skerovit. Weather was overcast - with a light S.W.-W breeze - Temp. around 40. Day flot of Phalaen + juvenile alpina in the gravel press near Quelton's Cree -
