BIRDS - NEW CALEDONIA L. Macmillan Page 33 (Note in reference to Skin NO. 39f) N.B. Later, 28th, March. This specimen has a bar under the wing, White, and I have little doubt this is not a Nymphicus at all but is the female adult of Charmosyna. It is very like a miniature edition of Nymphicus of Uvea. As yet I am not sure of the exact significance of the two specimens collected, but think the Paris Museum ones may be imm. or wrongly sexed females or the bird has the crest from 2nd or 3rd year. Sk.
