Macmillan Page 100 savage, kills Phaenorhina and birds much larger than itself, and even flying foxes, fowls, etc. Seems to favour the forests more than the open areas and seldom comes out of the forests except at very dry seasons when food and water is scarse. LOCALS SPEAK OF A MYZOMELA WITH AN ALL RED TAIL (?) SK.NO. 68. LEPTOMYZA (DAHT) Leptomyza: Male AD., 3/4 minus, yellowish white, (L.T. 3/4:R.T. 1/2 plus) SHOT: 10:00 a.m. WGHT: 230.6 gms. SKL: C.O. STM: 3/4 native fruit, pandanus (?) MOULT: Nil. ABR: W/Tl. Nil. SK. No. 68A. ACCIPITER hap. HAH-MIN-JAH. Accipiter hap.: Male AD., 1/2 plus, yellow (sex verified) L.T. 3/4 minus; R.T. 1/2. POSSIBLY NEW SUB SPECIES. SOFT PARTS: Iris, blood red; Eyelid edge, yellow; Bill, black horn, blue horn base; cere, bright yellow (tinge of green); Legs, bright yellow. SHOT:=10:00 a.m. WGHT: 217.9 gms. SKL: C.O. STM: 1/4 lizard. MOULT: Nil. W/Tl. NIL. SK. No. 68B. PACHYCEPHALA pector: Pachycephala pectoralis: Male AD., 1/2 white. SOFT PARTS: Iris, reddish brown; Bill, black; L&F, nigger brown. SHOT: 10:00 a.m. WGHT: 22.5 gms. SKL: CO STM: 3/4 small stick insect, insects. MOULT: Nil. W/Tl: Nil
