Section lane leading residence of Dennis Foutlner, 1 mi NNE Stan ton. 5 ft bluish shales above 14ft 3in. Buff fine grained stratification of calc remains, weathers into large flat and- shells, gritty ledge. 2 ft 11 in. soft blue argillaceous. 6 ft 5 in. smoky shale, 7 in. Bluish clay, + calc- calcareaous shale. Been 16ft 4in found Berea clay or sh. 03 acre of expense, 19ft 9 in. covered, highway bend at the lane. Section road. Red River Water Mill 2 mi 3 do east of Rocklyn station just below mill dam on Red River. Type of exposure along river bank 6 ft 6 in clay in Saratoga formation. 6ft 4 in sandy layer in same. 3ft 8in gravel at base of same. 10ft Cuyahoga lower part, face out upon limestone phosphatic, and ferruginous nodules. Level of Red River below the dam.
