Chir shale at Abrorn chapel. about 1mi. N of Crum's Stone, Cliv slate cmm as far as Crum's, Chir slate cmmn as far as Petersville, NW of Petersville, north of the School, in a gully, and thence up the eastern side of the gully the following section is shown. Massive sandstones, 37ft cliff covered, 13ft Sunbury shale exposed. Total thickness unknown. 1m, sandstone layer: Berea and Bedford sandstones not exposed in a recognizable form. 49ft 6" But and clift chalky freestone. Cliv black slate. Section of 2nd gully Nwt of Petersville School house, continuing into the West branch of Runnicomick creek, One exceedingly massive stratum of greygrained sandstone. From a fireconcrete thote of fine grained as. 41ft 6in covered. 12ft 6 in Black fissile Sunbury shale. 14ft Cnward. 2mve menaceus in calcareous shales, 17ft 6 in Blush to buff pure menaceous shale. 7ft Blueish apyllaceous to arenaceous shale with an occasional calcu- eous + arenaceous parting. 5th. Stratum of sandstone. 4ft 3in. Blue apyllaceous shale with a little thick caltmenicus at base. 2ft 6in covered. 9 in Soft apyllaceous shale mixed with some black, Fy of Cliv shale.
