"Linnetta fossils directly north of William Cralls home, 1/4 mile south of Acton 15th section is at Yarnall S.N. Riverside consisting at least 30 feet thickness exposed only old Spring field road about 1 1/2 miles south of summit of Wilson Creek. At home of Pinkney Cox about 2 1/2 mile S of Merrimac on road following east side of Birds Eye creek and thence down a slab creek (Blue slate) westward to Richardson creek. 1st bummer at the mouth of the slate creek where the section is. White slate 2 in 2 angles northwest crossing 4 inches thick along the out crop, and at this point only there is found 2 in black fissile shale indicating that he overlying limestone at one mile up at the close point 5 ft conglomerate (ludgerian) massive layer at top (15m.) ended near town of Glen" On road from Merrimac to Salisbury, about 4 miles from Merrimac, NE of Peck P.O. about 1/4 mile, on McClune's fork of Cary creek, on land west of Overstreet is rock below the Black slate according to citizens at Merrimac.
