Sheet 52. 22 Hill 720 is composed mainly of Archaean limestone. On the west slope of the hill there seems to be a little much weathered granite looking like coarse unsettled sandstone. There was also a rock which looked more like the coarsest Cambrian sandstone. On the north side of the hill near the top came quite a number of large white quartzite boulders, which it seemed to me must have come from a long dis- tance. Compare Haeckel Geol. Surv. N.J. 1896 p.44 makes double adv. S.S. with 5th. d. between & overlying or summit: makes S. end of hill composed of quartzite in place (supposed to be)
