This which side often looked much like
Dayton stone when fractured, at times more
crinoidal but white. The weathered sur-
face generally showed plenty of crinoidal
material. A large joggidinium of Illaenus
cylindrus type was found in it but
this don't mean much. The greenish
magnesian Niagara in those layers
was found immediately above. The
lower position of this Chintim is seen
merely from the fact that it was
exposed further down the creek. It is
a matter of debate with me whether
this whiteish crinoidal Chintim often
to be the homogeneous Dayton limestone
or fracture is to be placed in the Chin-
tim, or is to be referred the
base of the Dayton beds.
In the good bed Illaenus ambiguus
large form.
