Residual Der. l. + Black Shale. 47 10'28 ft whitish clay. 41½ 13½ ft ferryl clay, ferruginous layers? ½ ft ferryl l. full of Cyathiphyllum 4½ 2ft clay? 2½ ft ferryl l. in thinner slab with clay below 7½ ft fairly continuous ferrug from limestone, small crinoid beads and small Cyathiphyll at top, A. 7½ Locality: at west end of Co grand clay dig. gings near for Talladega R.R. almost 4 mm W. of Indian Fields. Base of section at level of stream crossed by R.R. 48 West of crossing over Howard Creek. of l. in clay at this level than elsewhere, well exposed. This is a thicker section tinged with deep red, a purple red; 5 ft thin light brown l. with layers at 44. 18½ ft lower part with limestone m.s. A 7ft ferruginous accret l. crinoid trace small. Section 47 White clay chiefly 28/ft measured 41½ ft chiefly clay Probably chiefly clay with the l. 6' layers at top 13½ ferruginous layers, fairly 4½0 thick, with clay latera more massive l. 7½ Bed A Slope of rock 2.8 ft in 100 ft, Section 11 48 2.8 5/7 19.6 23 42ft clay estimated according to dip of 2.8 ft per 100ft. white red purple tinge 5 ft thin l. + clay cruffy cray with l. at diff. 18½ ft levels, especially not thin 4 ft if trace. more limestone 7ft
