Transcription
Sulphur mill, 1 mi. N of Columbia road crossing on Fishing Creek. Black slate, 6 in chert layer. Cavities resembles fish bone, with ripples & subfossatic black 2 ft 6 in. Der. rock Black jasp. [illegible] after regarded as Gerd. 1 1/2 ft Cherty clay ferric clay and micaum with ? T. P. Jasper, about 2 miles across east to Columbia road crossing, and 2 mi NW, or east of Columbia road. Chert & chals in Der. Farther north, 1/2 mi. On Der, 2 sandstone, 2 ft thick, sets my Gypsa limestone & clays much intercalated. Determined by such ferrum crlm ulmig, 1/2 large crithria leads founds on good section about 8 ft thick, at next house or middle of creek going W there is some chert over 4 ft of Der. with my chert. Farther north, south of 2 our mill & linnse is Black slate 2 1/2 ft Der. see the b. without chert. no any anals, 3 1/2 ft cherty cl. face not seen. Black slate 4 in. chert. 5 1/2 ft. Cherty Der.l. spids come mm at tip. Mr Taylor Brock. Black slate | Best place for 5 in. Der. l. fossils since long 5 in. chert. by S branch of 3 1/2 ft Cherty, Columbia pete. 3 1/2 ft massive sandstone or denzel the accede character not constant arm at once experiment, = complete Der. section my large crasse Septaria Mimbidalis phacips fast, Dalmantes barb Amiba var. y fossils here above Machi Ardo.
