Along road following east side of Cedar creek north, 50 ft. up to farm of Clinton. 37½ ft at top & Detradium, (chalky). The same formation with lync, Overlying a fault beyond (Colum) Detradium layers? 259. NE y Crab Orchard 9 ft Dev limestone, 247. On Road from Crab Orchard to Chapel Hill. 11 ft Dev limestone, 246. Head of Cedar Creek: Wyler Expire clay apparently at least 50 ft thick. Not well exposed. 245 West of Cedar Creek on county road, Now solid limestone, about 3½ feet, not well exposed 8½ ft Clinton, 124. Western branch of Cedar creek where county road & of R R crossed at Abel Brigant's home red soil with Dev Trachypods. 35 ft Upper Oyster clay, 2 ft layer massive limestone. 6ft middle oyster clay 2ft Chaffy cl. with interbedded clay. 1½ ft partly exposed 8 in. solid, cl. 5 ft partly exposed. 12 ft base to top of chert in large crushed beds about 2 ft below trip, Continuation of successively lower profiles going west! 125 West of same branch of Cedar Creek east of George Bone's home. Dev Trachypods order in secondary clay, red! 8½ ft Devl. NE of house at spring.
