cording to estimate at least
13 ft thick; the upper object
corresponding to the visited layer,
and the lower 7 1/2 ft very dirty.
At least 20 lb of Oxford clay
according to estimate, there
being considerable clay accord-
ing to stuff brought up in sand
hirlers and by clay fish. No
good experience.

[but] about 6 or 7 soft

11 ft not exposed clay, apparently
at least 30 ft seen.
