1/2 ac W. S Hammack 69 105, about 4 mi N of Flat Worm Church, Devonian partly exposed. Ac- cording to estimate at least 13 ft thick; the upper object corresponding to the visited layer, and the lower 7 1/2 ft very dirty. At least 20 lb of Oxford clay according to estimate, there being considerable clay accord- ing to stuff brought up in sand hirlers and by clay fish. No good experience. 106 11 1/2 by upper Oxford clay exposed, [but] about 6 or 7 soft 15 mi. Layer L = original big layer, 11 ft not exposed clay, apparently at least 30 ft seen. 1 ft layer L.
