Hard brown limestone, firm 1 ft Brecciated, 1 ft Soft rocks 6 ft Crumblers no much clast, Contact not exposed. { feet per 100 feet tracted at rate of rise of 2.8 (2 ft) 75 ft measured 13 ft out { also below Sand possibly firm limestone 6 ft Firm exposed, limestone at top 5 1/2 ft thin firm limestone, 6 1/2 ft not exposed, probably chiefly clay thin, clay part way 3 1/4 ft partly exposed limestone Scather thick down this to play { layer of limestone, clay centary 9 1/2 ft (to top) strongly cross bedded - 4 ft 2 in. Marbles chert m. 4 8 ft to face J. Clinton 14 3/4 ft well bedded clay limestone 17 1/2 ft below, road to face of well bedded clay limestone Section 49 clay wavy mudstone marble firm exposed firm limestone, partly exposed partly exposed strongly cross bedded marble
