Holmes, R. 1957 Journal 43. 21 August Barrow, Alaska To Footprint Lake during the Afternoon. Birds were still Abundant on the lower part of the Lake. A few Pectrobs were noted just north of the lake on the marshy tundra. 22 August Barrow, Alaska Traps were checked in the morning; and 2 lins were taken out in The evening. Lot work was done, and Merle Solomon arrived both from Umnal with 50-65 week-old uniform micstines. Work was begun on these animals. 23 August Barrow, Alaska Footprint Lake, UMP Area, Br, Hm's Area were all checked with Fewer birds being present. Traps were set in Central Marsh & That area & The Berd Ridge were investigated. Very few birds were noted in that area. Four Sandhill Cranes were seen in the evening near UMP's Area. 24 August Barrow, Alaska Traps were checked and 2 linn in, landdown. Lot work was continued.
