Holmes,R 1959 Journal 42. 19 August. Barrow, Alaska composition of birds has changed greatly during the last week. Red-Norches are now the most abundant with Rovitkin second. Pectorate seen scarce. The tundra seem very dry with many of the pools having dried up. Fresh lumming workings were noted in area 1 high polygons or mounds. Jaegan seen scarce, but owls are seen occasionally. Two more trapline and intensive plots C + D were laid out during the late afternoon and evening. 20 August Barrow, Alaska Traps were checked morning and evening, and lot work was worked all day. The weather was poor-overnight with low for and strong NE wind. 21 August Barrow, Alaska Work was complete - the lot during the morning, and trap line were checked morning and evening. A trip was made
