13 August Pitt Point, Alaska
"Y was laid out, and then
after dinner, the traps were
collected from the old
liner and set out on the
two new ones. The weather
again seemed to depress bird
activity. The wind (still N-NE)
was blowing at 30-35 mph.
14 August Pitt Point, Alaska
The traps were checked morning and
evening and several moles were
snae to the south. The weather
again was overcast and windy. little
bird activity was noted.
15 August Pitt Point, Alaska
The traps were checked again during
the morning and evening. A cold
fog settled down, and this combined
with a 20-25 mph wind made
for rather uncomfortable field
dwellings.
16 August Pitt Point, Alaska
The traps were checked in the morning
and were checked and collected
during the evening. A walk was
taken near the base but little
activity (merganser & bass) was noted.
