Holmes,R. 1959 Journal 39 11 August Pitt Point, Alaska The traps were checked from 0600 To 0900, and the remainder of The morning was spent in looking around and taking care of the specimens. Denny. The afternoon, I walked west about 2 miles. The Anked around and came into the base by the east. Longspure seems to be the most abundant bird and sandpiper are not too common. 12 August Pitt Point, Alaska The traps were checked morning + evening, and new trap sites were investigated. Line #4 was laid out, and a Tentative location was picked for line #3. The weather today was partly cloudy with a strong NE wind. Very little bird activity was noted, presumably due to the wind. 13 August Pitt Point, Alaska The traps were checked in the morning and a walk was made around the base, to check on possible trap line sites.
