The lake has been drained, but still contains patches of standing water which is nearly impossible to traverse on snow. However by skirting the standing water, travel is quite easy. 15 July Barrow, Alaska Footprint Lake and vicinity was again visited and the north shore Skroait was examined. The lake still so mostly covered with ice. 16 July Barrow, Alaska P. delta left in the morning for Berkeley.
