2 July. Barrow, Alaska
and afternoon. Very little bird
activity was noted, probably
due to the strong wind and
rain which has persisted through-
out the day.
3 July. Barrow, Alaska
The weather was extremely poor
with light snow and heavy
winds. The drum over from
visitor's Advice to check The nests,
and traps were prepared for
setting. On the beach ridge between 1600.
4 July Barrow, Alaska
The weather is still nasty
with snow flurries and rain.

The traps were checked during
the early morning and then
I wrote some letters. At 1300,
Don Makalay, Ron Pitzer and I
went out to Nuwuk and to the
weather station at the post.
