26 June Barrow, Alaska
0900-1230. Walked the beach ridge
from the census plot westward to
the gasoline and then into A.R.
Snow remains only on the south
side of the ridge where it is protected.
The melt-off water has now
run off or has been absorbed,
leaving the terrain quite spongy.
The weather was several warm

A wind developed by late morning
and continued throughout the day.
By evening, it had clouded up
and had become cool. The afternoon
and evening were spent in moving into
and organizing the new lab area
in sorting field notes.
