21 June Barrow, Alaska
during the afternoon and evening.
F.A.P. collected a Rufous-nicked Sand-
pijer on The beach ridge this after-
noon.
22 June Barrow, Alaska
0800-1100. Beach Ridge. 'The snow on the ridge
is practically gone and the lowlands
between the drum area and the ridge
are still flooded. The weather was
clear but windy and cold.
1100-1700. Worked in limnnings which
were brought in from the village.
23 June Barrow, Alaska
0800-0930. Drum Area. The tundra is now
about 90% exposed with only patches
of snow here and there. The only flowers
out-seems to be a Ranunculus. The
lagoons are becoming filled with water,
and many of the roads along their
shores are flooded. This afternoon
a channel well burnt across the
village road just so. It's done to
lower the water area. The north area
now is flooded and impassable.

1300-1500. Went across the tundra to
the east censes area along Elson Lagoon
