0900-1000. Drum area. This area is about
50% exposed now and the channels
between the high polygons are becoming filled
with water. About 6 jaguars were seen sitting
in the area, but were disturbed by a
"wease" which was driving through the south
of the area.
1300-1600. Voth area, Voth's Slough, and
Yoshine road. The snow here is aboropically
melting and the lagoons are melting so
that the water is settling on top of
the remaining ice. The wind was blown
from the S. E. and made working
and observing difficult.
1330-1930. Flew with Childs, Pikelka
along the coast to the west to the monument,
then turned So and crossed over the
Innarm River, continued going to the
Meade and followed it to the S. W. until
the village was reached. During this
stretch several shorebirds were seen:
1 snow goose, 2 Sh. eared gulls, and
several glaucous gulls. From Made
River, we flew eastward to the Colville
Delta, crossed over several native fish
camps, over Helmink's cabin and landed
at Pov 2 on Point. Over the
