Holmes,T. 1961 Journal 53. 14 Aug Barrow, Alaska pectoral m central marsh, 4 dom plovers 80. I gullie, + occas. longspurs. In the afternoon, we went to the village + made reservations for departure. The weather today was overcast in the morning but the air was still. Several mosquitoes were seen. In the afternoon the sun was shining for a while, but it clouded over in the evening. There was only a slight wind in the w- 15 Aug Barrow, Alaska Stayed - + did lab work all morning In the afternoon - went to Footprint lake + cov. sev. redbacks (3 W. Flats, 1 Juv. S. and with flock 160 Dovetiters). 2 Pectorals seen N. 1th Lake, 1 Juv. Phalaena-lute. No other bird activity. Weather rain- overcast. 5/longt. 16 Aug Barrow, Alaska Took samples (pond) from inset plots + spent the remainder of the day, finishing these up. Weather rainy - overcast with 10-15 mph winds). 17 Aug Barrow, Alaska Chamberlain's I went to the oolepelt Census plot + worked all morning. Returned for lunch + then spent the
