Weather - overcast, cold & light E breeze blowing. 7 Aug Barrow, Alaska Drove through Central range, across Wolfe's bog to Ootlipit & located a spot for the census plot which will be established before the end of the summer. Birds were collected along the way and only a few were seen. Weather was overcast & cold. Wind was 15-20 mph from the East. In the afternoon, specimens were processed. 8 Aug Barrow, Alaska Specimens were pressed during the morning; Some work was accomplished in wrong molt. In the afternoon, good samples were collected. The weather today was cold, windy & foggy. Dr. Ford, Jr. fog held out all through the day (Herri never landed). 9 Aug Worked a sample all morning - went to unused plots for other counts & vacuum sample - The latter
