Holmes, R. 1961 Journal 2 Aug Barrow, Alaska The late morning. Sullivan; I went to Insect plots. The afternoon I took BZ + vacuum samples. In the evening, The sun was shining & so I went to Board. Little life to see. A hunter. These days, An OVS. Longspur or some terns, a sharbird. 3 Aug Barrow, Alaska Processed specimens + worked on data all day. Drove with Sullivan to Nunuk - where a flock of ~15 RB were found, sec. 100 Red Phalaropes, Arctic Terns, Sabine & Black Curls & a few Snow Buntings. Weather Today was overcast & cool - with a 5-10 mph E. wind. 4 Aug Barrow, Alaska Weather - rainy & misty all morning. The overcast & windy (10mph) all afternoon. Processed birds in morning & got to insect plots & took pond samples during the afternoon. The pond wads were dock & their level 7 1/2 June. Juv. Pectoral Sop were seen feeding around the plot area. 5 Aug Barrow, Alaska Processed insect samples during the day & then birds were finished. Weather
