Holmes,R. 1961 Journal 13 july Barrow, Alaska In the afternoon, I went to Voth's area + Footprint Lake. Little bird activity was seen except 50-60 Common Gulls feeding on some plot caribou-kills - which were now abundant. Several L-t + Parasitic jaeger were also seen. A fox was reported by Eskes' folk - near Woblachlog - yesterday. 14 july Barrow, Alaska Worked on data in the morning and went out to Voth's area + insect plots during the afternoon. Weather was partly sunny - overcast with a cool 85 wind. 15 july Barrow, Alaska Specimens were prepared + notes written during the morning. In the afternoon, I went to the insect plots - took part + insect samples, but no vacuum samples. The weather was cold - 35° - with rain + a light, cool westerly breeze 1 5-10 m.p.h.. It rained steadily all day, but let up to a light drizzle in the evening. Sullivan arrived back from Pitt Point > 36mm's sea. Evening spent sorting insects.
