Holmes, R. 1961 Journal 4 July Barrow, Alaska been destroyed during the flight Wales. There Could have hatched, but doubtful. Parasites & Long-t jargon have been Cruising The area (also More Seen today). One set 1 RB egg lots Cold's no birds were seen. In the Evening, Sample even sent. Weather today, Sunny with Wind breeze: In the afternoon, I went to the Insect Observation plot - where Adult Crane flies, midges, etc are now seen. The emergent perch does appear during the last 4 days. 5 July Barrow, Alaska Stayed in aelday & sorted insect samples. Weather alternate overcast & sun, relatively warm. Cade arrived in from Peters Lake in the evening. 6 July Barrow, Alaska Worked all morning on the samples. Between Sullivan, Chamberlain and I, we finished all samples by 1200. In the afternoon I went to Centre marsh & vicinity. Weather overcast & cold W. wind blowing. The ice is taking now - due to this wind. Fresh lagoon steel has 40% ice - cover.
